CLASS ONE covers the History of Spaceflight over the past several thousand years. Humans have been curious about the heavens and the world around them as documented from the earliest writings. This fascination continues through today and may extend into the future. Spaceflight is emerging as one of society’s greatest adventures into the unknown.
A historical timeline is used to layout and discuss the most significant spaceflight events,
past and present, both U.S. and foreign. Some are interesting, humorous and/or tragic. Included
throughout are discussions on the affects on your lives. This presentation is designed for the
general public. Opportunity will be given for questions and answers during the one hour (lite) or
extended two hour PowerPoint presentation. Part of the Spaceflight Series.
CLASS TWO: All spacecraft follow celestial orbits (a.k.a. paths, trajectories, routes). In this introductory presentation you will learn about the different types of orbits and how the strange paths are created. Basic orbits are explained for travel around and toward planets, moons, asteroids, solar system and a star. Learn some terminology used to describe orbits. This introductory presentation does not use mathematics to discuss or show the various celestial orbits. Part of the Spaceflight Series. This presentation is designed for the general public. Opportunity will be given for questions and answers during the one hour PowerPoint presentation.
CLASS THREE: How can a Spacefaring Alien Civilization find Earth? This presentation explores how
humans have made it easy for Spacefaring Alien Civilizations to find Earth. This presentation is
designed for the general public. Opportunity will be given for questions and answers during the
one hour PowerPoint presentation.
