Erich Rohmer's Six Moral Tales

In Six Moral Tales Erik Rohmer, French New Wave director, wanted "to produce in film what seemed most alien to the medium, to express feelings buried deep in our consciousness". These tales are variations on a theme related to the existential and ethical question of choice. Specifically, in each tale a man, committed to one woman, is tempted by another woman. The three films to be viewed and discussed are My Night at Maud's, Claire's Knee, and Chloe in the Afternoon.
