Tanya Icaza
Tanya Icaza, MA, has an Applied Anthropology degree from University of Maryland in environmental anthropology with a focus on food and agriculture. For the past 10 years, she has been an adjunct lecturer in anthropology at a variety of universities and community colleges. She has a passion for teaching students of all ages and finding ways to connect their studies with their everyday lives. Her focus on the anthropological study of the impacts of climate change on our diet and agricultural practices is an important one in order to discover how we can solve food crises in the coming years, which is essential to the healthy future of our planet.
