The tour at APL will introduce participants to the ISC and how it acts as a focal point for research and development in artificial intelligence, robotics, and neuroscience at the Applied Physics Laboratory. Plan on 60 minutes of walking throughout, followed by videos from the Intelligent Systems Center (30 minutes in a seated area).Don't miss this opportunity to learn about the critical and cutting-edge work of the Intelligent Systems Center.

Dr. Bart Paulhamus is currently the Chief of the Intelligent Systems Center at Johns Hopkins University's Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). Co-founded in 2016 by Dr. Paulhamus, the goal of the center is to conduct pioneering research with mission intent. Recognizing that intelligent systems is multidisciplinary, the center tackles the research challenges underlying intelligent systems by combining artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and robotics. His technical background is in artificial intelligence, and he has over 20 years of experience in applied research and development. He is the Chair for the Artificial Intelligence Program in Johns Hopkins's Whiting School of Engineering.
