America in the 1930s was ill-prepared to meet the challenges of "the Crash." There were economic and natural disasters causing some to call this era "The Dirty Thirties."
Together we will explore some of the events and people who were changing the nation from "Hoovervilles" to an alphabet soup of the "New Deal." How was the country changing into a world power? What were Americans reading and listening to on the radio? How was the Golden Age of Hollywood emerging? Who were some of the forgotten figures who brought change and hope to a crippled America?
Fee: $0.00
Hours:24.00
