Dr. Stephenie Slahor is a professor, writer and lecturer. Her Osher courses are most often in the natural sciences, ancient and modern history, archaeology, and fascinating places on our planet. Her hobbies are travel, kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, and crafting science and the wonders of the world into fact-filled and fun lectures. She is a Supporting Member of the Grand Canyon Conservancy, a Life Member of the Southwest Marine Educators' Association and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, and a member of Coachella Valley Archaeological Society, the Astronomical Society of the Desert, and the Shadow Mountain Gem and Mineral Society.
