Kierstin Klimas

Kierstin Klimas studied literature, creative writing, literacy, and rhetoric, graduating with a bachelor's and master's degree in English from Temple University in Philadelphia. These studies sparked a deep academic and personal interest in 19th/20th century American literature, particularly the Romantic, Gothic, and Modernist waves, alongside the historical effects of rapid technological growth and urbanization on education and literacy, and the development of "pop culture" (as we call it today). Her professional background is steeped in the arts, history, and education, having served in roles across arts and historic institutions, and within academia. All of these interests overlap and intersect when it comes to the study of Poe's works and the inseparable intrigue of his writings and his life.
