Sig Libowitz
Sig Libowitz, is the Director of Johns Hopkins’ Graduate Film & Media Program and a Senior Lecturer. He is a filmmaker, entertainment attorney, producer, writer, actor, and former studio executive in Hollywood and New York. He wrote and produced The Response, which was shortlisted for an Academy Award (Best Short Film). The film is a courtroom drama based on the actual transcripts of the Guantanamo Bay military tribunals. Sig was Executive-in-Charge of Production for In the Bedroom starring Sissy Spacek, Tom Wilkinson and Marisa Tomei, which was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture. Sig previously served as Vice-President at Paramount, Director of Production at Film Four, and Production Executive at Good Machine (now Focus Features).
