The 1920s: Did They Roar?

The 1920s has been labeled as booming and roaring. There were three major elections, new cutting-edge products, and more leisure time for entertainment. Movies, sports, and radio programs were thriving. It was a time of carefree living. The decade was marked by dramatic social, economic, and political change. The US emerged from World War I as a world power.  For the first time there were more cities than farms. Consumerism was flourishing. The population was booming and for many it was a Golden Age. This decade brought on the jazz age. It was a time of glad rags, flappers, and juice joints. Who were the people leading this jazz age? The country was experiencing a golden age, what were some of the events creating this? How long would it last?
