The products of biotechnology impact our lives every day, particularly in the area of health. Montgomery County is home to one of the largest concentrations of Biotech companies in the USA. In this course, we’ll cover current topics in this exciting and growing area. Topics will include your Microbiome and its impact on health and disease, an introduction to personalized medicine with a special emphasis on cancer and brain health advances, an update on COVID-19 and a review of what Biotech companies are doing in Montgomery County. The class will be lecture and discussion based.
