This course focuses on memoirs and memoir writing. Over six weeks we will look at how to unlock memories, write them down, and turn them into narratives, so that we can share them with others. Participants will read from the masters of memoirs, respond to prompts, participate in memory activities, and share and review our work. Come prepared to read, write, and discuss.

Christopher Stevenson received a BA in English from University of Maryland and is a Jimenez-Porter Writers House alum. He's a graduate of the iSchool at Florida State University and has taught creative writing at the DC Public Library for almost seven years.
